I’m Giuseppe Giorno, an Italian photographer and videographer, born from a fascination with images and the stories they are able to hold.

Photography came first. Growing up with a father who shared the same passion, I learned to look at the world through a frame long before I thought of filmmaking as a profession. Photography taught me something that still shapes the way I work today: “a moment happens only once”.

Over time, this passion naturally led me towards filmmaking. I studied Filmmaking at Mohole Institute in Milan, and later deepened my technical and creative skills through specialized courses in editing and color grading in London.

I see filmmaking as photography in motion.

A video, to me, is not simply a sequence of images. It is a collection of fleeting moments, a gesture, a glance, a movement, a particular quality of light, the atmosphere of a place, fragments of reality that cannot be reproduced in exactly the same way twice.

I’m interested in people, places, cultures and the moments in between. Rather than simply documenting what is in front of the camera, I try to create images that carry a sense of presence images that allow you to feel that you were there.

My approach is instinctive, observational and deeply rooted in photography. Whether I’m working on a photograph, a short film or a documentary, I’m always searching for the same thing: “ a moment that exists only once, and an image that can make it last.”
